Loft Conversion – St Albans Project

What they ask for – Our clients are quite discerning and aesthetically design conscious. The feedback we get is quite often that Cox Format are chosen because of our experience (35 years +) trading under the same name, a dedicated team of professional tradesmen who have come up through the ranks with Cox Format, starting as apprentices and graduating to very experienced site foremen happy to offer clients advice. Properties in St. Albans and Barnet quite often are subject to Conservation Area status meaning that our designs have to comply with local planning policy. Our in-house design and build team have extensive experience in this.

What we proposed – Our design & build service includes a free initial survey and quotation. If we are chosen as your contractor there will be a consultation meeting with our architects once the architects preliminary plans have been developed. Clients are encouraged to input their design requirements and will be an important part of the fine tuning of the plans.

Obstacles we’ve overcome so far -We are well versed in working within permitted development and conservation area restrictions. We will advise clients on the art of the possible within these policies and provide expert design and construction guidance.

How we work with the client – We work with the client from start to finish. Once work commences, there will be an on-site foreman as the principal construction contact for the clients every day. We also have a dedicated project manager who oversees the project and is available to our clients throughout the project. We will help with sourcing items such as bathroom suites and kitchens, tiles, bespoke joinery and flooring via our network of tradesmen and suppliers.
